At Kalyan’s Dental Care Centre, we follow a rigorous, multi-stage sterilization process to ensure every instrument used in your treatment is completely safe and free from contamination. Our protocol combines chemical disinfection, physical sterilization, and UV protection giving you the highest standard of hygiene and peace of mind at every visit.
Step By Step Process
Step 1 — Initial Scrubbing
All used instruments are thoroughly scrubbed with detergent and water to remove any visible debris and organic matter.
Step 2 — Chemical Disinfection
The instruments are then fully submerged in a solution of water and Korsolex disinfectant for 15 minutes, eliminating bacteria, viruses, and other harmful microorganisms.
Step 3 — Drying
After disinfection, the instruments are air-dried under a fan for 15 minutes to remove all moisture before the next stage.
Step 4 — Spirit Wipe Down
Each instrument is individually wiped with cotton and spirit, ensuring surface-level sterilization and complete cleanliness.
Step 5 — Single-Use Pouch Sealing
The sterilized instruments are placed into individual single-use pouches, which are then vacuum sealed to prevent any recontamination.
Step 6 — Autoclave Sterilization
The sealed pouches are placed inside an autoclave and subjected to a complete wet and dry cycle — the gold standard in medical sterilization — destroying all remaining microbes and spores.
Step 7 — UV Cabinet Storage
Finally, the sterilized, sealed instruments are stored inside a UV cabinet, keeping them protected and ready for safe use in your next treatment.
